Last year, I decided to take a peek at Amazon for an affordable bathing suit, and after reading a ton of reviews,
I grabbed this one from the brand Sporlike. And let's just say, it didn't disappoint. I feel fantastic in it, and every time I wear it, I get tons of compliments. Bonus: It's under $35.
So for this upcoming summer season, I decided to check out their other offerings, and share them with you here,

So, this is the style I'm wearing in the photo (size L, I wear a 10-12 in most things), just in a different pattern. If you're not into the plant theme, they've got plenty of other patterns and colors too. I love how it's low cut in the bust (with removable pads - I know, I know, but I've dealt with it), and high cut in the booty (yes, it's a bit cheeky, but not overly so, IMHO), making it a little sexy (hey, I'm 46, not dead). But I can still
play in the water with my kids and actually swim without worrying that things are going to come flying out. And the details—little tie in the back, ruffle sleeves—are lovely.
This suit, which I got in this beautiful royal blue, fits almost identically to the above ruffle suit, except it features a belt (and no back tie). You can wear this with or without the belt, because there aren't any loops attaching it to the suit. But since there are no loops, I don't anticipate swimming with the belt on.
Just for kicks, I tried this two-piece bathing suit, and I have to say, I'm a big fan. I typically don't love a very low leg and high-waist bottom, but combined with the top which is adorable, it looks great.
