Handmade baby gifts with an Australian accent. (But no, they don't talk.)

It's not often I discover a new Etsy shop and automatically think okay, every single thing in there is adorable. But that's the case with Babee and Me, which I can forgive for being based in Byron Bay, Australia, considering what beautiful work is coming out of the shop. From soft handmade baby toys, to funky teething rattles (oh, those cameras!), and tons of gorgeous personalized wooden blocks in all kinds of styles, everything just has a wonderful sensibility about it with terrific typography, and modern color combination. I like that the selection also includes lots of black and white gifts, perfect for the littlest infant. Even if they're only for looking, not touching, just yet. And the fact that they're all made from materials like organic hemp and cotton with eco-friendly paints and inks inspires that much more confidence.

Now you can see why it's hard to pick a favorite? But hey, maybe you don't have to. The prices are fairly reasonable for such beautiful handmade baby gifts, with prices for each block starting under $5 and going up a bit from there. The priciest thing in the shop are the new baby playmats but wow, what a really lovely baby shower gift for a modern home.

As for me, I could probably be happy with one of those little soft rattles and activity toys to give to every new baby on my list this year. Dinosaurs, woodland creatures or cool cameras...ack, fine. You pick for me.
